In the following question, select the odd number pair from the given alternatives.
A) 21 – 400 B) 22 – 441 C) 24 – 519 D) 26 – 625 E) 28 - 729
SOLUTION:
Here the logic is,
The second number in the pair is a square of the number by subtracting 1 from the first number in respective pair.
400 = 21 – 1 = 202
441 = 22 – 1 = 212
519 = 24 – 1 = 232 = 529, which is not correct
625 = 26 – 1 = 252
729 = 28 – 1 = 272
Hence, the odd number among the given numbers is 24 – 519.
