The text is wrapped to appear within the browser window by default. The text could extend beyond the browser window if the text is part of a table cell with a defined width.

The checkboxes do not affect one another. Grouping these checkboxes together help to organize them. Checkbox buttons can have their name and do not need to belong to a group. A single web page can have many different groups of checkboxes.

It is a scripting language that allows you to interact with certain elements on the page according to user input. There are three main ways of applying JavaScript: • Inline: Certain HTML elements allow you to execute a part of JavaScript when a certain event occurs. • Script block: You can define a script block anywhere on the page, which executes as soon as the browser reaches that part of the document. • Link to a JavaScript file: It allows you to keep the content of the page separate from how users interact with that content. It allows you to load the same script on more than one page.

The Webkit is a core software module or component which renders the HTML code and CSS on different browsers like Safari and Chrome. There are some rendering tool engines for different browsers such as Gecko for Mozilla Firefox, Presto for Opera, and Microsoft Edge for Internet Explorer.

An ID selector is a uniquely identified (named) selector to which a specific style is declared. Using the ID attribute, the declared style can then be associated with only a single HTML element per document. It is for differentiating it from all the other elements. They use the # character with a name

A contextual selector addresses a particular occurrence of an element. It is a white space separated string of individual selectors. A search pattern, where only the final element in the pattern addresses to giving it matches the specified context.

Property is a stylistic attribute (parameter) that influences through CSS. Example: width or font. There must be a corresponding value or values given to each property.

The clear property specifies the sides of an element where rest floating elements are not allowed. • His method cannot control styles for multiple documents at once. • Inline Style Advantages • Useful for small quantities of style definitions. At the local level, this can override other style specification methods. The only exceptions require to list in conjunction with other style methods.

The XSLT stands for eXtensible Style sheet Language Transformation. It deals with transformation of one XML document into to other XML documents or XHTML documents. It uses XPath for arriving at a particular node and traversing an XML document.

A servlet is a Java programming language class. It is useful to increase the capabilities of servers that host applications approached through a model of request-response programming.

Following are the changes made in Servlet 2.5: • A new dependency on J2SE 5.0 • Support for annotations • Loading the class • Several web.xml conveniences • A handful of removed restrictions • Some edge case clarifications

Primary uses for HTTP Servlets include: • Processing or/and storing HTML form submitted data. • Providing dynamic content. Example: returning the database query results to the client. • A servlet can handle more than one request concurrently. It is useful for developing high-performance systems. • Managing state data on top of the stateless HTTP. Example: For an online shopping cart, management software that manages shopping carts for various concurrent customers and maps every request to the right customer.

A servlet is unloaded when: • The server shuts down. • Administrator manually unloads.

A servlet can be loaded when: • At first, it makes a request. • The server starts up (auto-load). • There is only a single instance that responds to all requests concurrently. This saves memory and allows a Servlet to simply manage persistent data. • Administrator manually loads.

We always prefer to use GET because it is faster than POST, except for the following mentioned reasons: • If data is sensitive • Data is greater than 1024 characters • If your application does not need bookmarks.

A session refers to all the requests that a single client (user) might make to a server in the course of displaying any pages associated with a given application. Sessions are specific to both the application and individual user. As a result, every user of an application has an individual session and has access to an individual set of session variables.

The process servlets use to maintain a state about a list of requests from the same user is session tracking. The requests originate from the same browser across some period. Some of the important functions of filters are as follows: • Security checks • Modifying the request or response • Data compression • Logging and auditing • Response compression • Configured in the web application's deployment descriptor. Hence, a user does not need to recompile anything to change the output or input of the Web application.

The z-index in CSS is a property used to decide the stack order of the elements based on which elements have to display on the web page. That is higher-order elements displays before the lower order elements on the web page. We can apply z-index only to position elements like position: relative, position: absolute, position: fixed, etc.

There are three types of popup boxes we use in JavaScript. They are as following: • Alert: This popup box shows a message with an Ok button to proceed further. • Confirm: This popup window shows a message with Cancel and Ok buttons and to proceed further we need to click one. • Prompt: This popup is a dialog box that asks the user to give input. It has Cancels and Ok buttons after entering user input we need to click on one to proceed further.

In the box model, everything mostly represents in the form of boxes only. The box model is useful for modeling and designing in CSS. Its main components and elements layouts are as following: • Padding: This defines the spacing in the box model that is the positioning of elements in the box. • Margin: It is the CSS box model’s top layer. • Border: The padding and content fields used around the border affect the border. We can change the border’s background color also. • Content: It represents the content that needs to display in the box.

Following is sequences of steps: • Make the connection • Make a request • The response • Close the connection

• XML- EXtensible Markup Language • There are no predefined tags. You have to describe your tags • It is designed for self-descriptive • It is designed not to display data but to carry data

Cookies are small pieces of data in the text file. This data is stored on the client-side. Example: Like a username and password.
