MAT is conducted in online and offline modes. The online mode test is called a computer-based test (CBT), and the offline mode is called a paper-based test (PBT). This year, AIMA launched the Internet-based test (IBT) for candidates to take the test at home.

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria for the MAT test before filling out the application form because if they are not eligible to take the test, their application form will be rejected.

For IBT, CBT, and PBT modes, the duration of the MAT test is 2 hours and 30 minutes. There is no sectional time-limit in MAT.

The MAT exam is an objective-type test with multiple-choice answers. The question paper has five sections in the exam - Language Comprehension, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, Indian and Global Environment, Intelligence, and Critical Reasoning.

Candidates need to register on AIMA's official website to apply for the MAT test. To complete the MAT registration, candidates need to submit the test application fee.

In PBT mode, aspiring candidates will get test papers and OMR tables to mark their answers, while in CBT mode, candidates will take the test on a computer system. PBT and CBT exams are held on separate dates and at separate exam centers.

The MAT exam is held four times a year in February, May, September, and December. To take for MAT exam, aspirants need to have a graduation degree in any discipline from any recognized University.
