1.Linear seating arrangement
The arrangement of person is in linear, which means the student have to arrange them in a line, generally a single row of arrangement is formed.
Two group of persons, students need to arrange one group in first row and another group in second row, generally faces each other.
• Circular arrangement with people facing center of the table.
• Circular arrangement with people facing outward of the table.
• Circular arrangement with people facing center of the table whereas some facing outward the table.
Directions (1-5): Answer the following questions based on the given statements.
Certain number of persons are sitting around a circular table, which has a circumference of 570 cm. All the persons are facing towards the center. They are sitting at distance to each other which are consecutive multiple of five. Only three people sits between A and T. The distance between A and R is 45 cm. The distance between A and P is more than 55 cm. The distance between R and P is 150 cm. The distance between P and W is 105 cm. W is not the immediate neighbor of R. W sits on the immediate left of X. Only three persons sit between X and U. U is not the immediate neighbor of A and R. The distance between S and C is 55 cm. S sits 4th to the right of B. The distance between Y and P is LCM of 25 and 2. D sits third to the right of Y.
Explanation:
1) Certain number of persons are sitting around a circular table, which has a circumference of 570 cm. So, the distance between persons is 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and 75. From that condition we can deduce that there are only 12 persons in the circle.
