Data Interpretation is very important topic for all campus placements and also for all competitive exams like Banking, LIC, SSC, Groups, Railways etc. Data Interpretation is also useful for some of the MBA entrance exams like MAT, CAT, GMAT etc.
It is an act of analysing data which is provided in the given chart, to gain a useful information to solve the problems based on it. Basically, the data is provided in several forms like Table, Bar Graph, Line Graph, Pie - Chart, Radar Graph, Mixed form and Caselet form etc.
Directions: Study the following information carefully and answer the questions given below:
In an examination, there are six subjects Telugu, Hindi, English, Maths, Science, and Social have equal maximum marks. The mark scored by the student Suresh in the subject Hindi is 30% less than his marks in the subject Science. The ratio of marks scored by Suresh in the subject Telugu to that of in Maths is 3 : 4 and the ratio of marks scored by Suresh in the subject English to Social are 5 : 6. The marks scored by Suresh in the subject Social 40% less than that of Science. He scored 80 marks in the subject of Maths. He scored 7/11 of the total marks in the examination and the average of marks scored by Suresh in all the subjects is 70.
