Overview
• 2 types i.e. squirrel cage & slip ring induction motors, and working principles like “electromagnetic induction”, “faradays law” and lenz’s law.
• Two tests are performed i.e. no load & blocked rotor tests
• Starting methods like rotor resistance, reactance, autotransformer, star-delta transformers are analyzed. and also speed control methods are discussed.
• Single phase induction motor using in domestic appliances like fan, water pump and agriculture pumping purpose.
Prerequisite
Better to have knowledge on transformer, faraday’s law & lenz’s law.
For whom
• For Electrical and Electronics students to help them understand the basic to advanced concepts
• Students who are preparing them for their engineering syllabus.
